Recipe

PORK MENUDO INGREDIENTS:

  • Carrots

  • Potatoes

  • Capsicum

  • Onions

  • Garlic

  • Bay Leaves

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Water

  • Tomato Sauce

  • Pork Shoulder

  • Soy sauce

  • Calamansi Juice/ Lemon Juice

  • Pepper

  • Oil

  • Water

HOW TO PORK MENUDO:

1. Slice your carrots, potatoes, capsicum, and pork shoulder into cubes

2. Dice your onions, & garlic

3. Marinate the pork shoulder in Soy sauce & calamansi juice/lemon juice for 30 minutes

4. After 30 minutes, heat the pot with oil

5. Add your onion & garlic, sautee until fragrant

6. Add the marinated meat, and sautee until it changes colour

7. Add the tomato sauce, water & mix

8. Add the bay leaves and bring to a boil

9. Add the cubed carrots, potatoes, capsicum

10. Boil until carrots & potatoes are cooked

11. Season with salt & pepper as needed

12. And you're done!

PINKABET INGREDIENTS:

  • Pork shoulder/ Pork belly chunks

  • Pumpkin chunks

  • Shrimp Paste

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper

  • String Beans/ Green beans

  • Eggplant

  • Tomatoes

  • Onions

  • Garlic

  • Oil

  • Water

HOW TO MAKE PINAKBET:

1. Prep your veggies

2. Wash your green beans, cube your pumpkins, slice your eggplants

3. Dice onions & garlic

4. Slice your pork shoulder into cubes

5. Heat your pot with oil

6. Add the garlic and onion, sautee until fragrant

7. Add the pork chunks, and sautee until colour changes

8. Add in the tomatoes & bagoong alamang (shrimp paste)

9. Cover until tomatoes get mushy

10. Mash the tomatoes and mix

11. Add water, stir and bring to a boil

12. Add the pumpkin & green beans then bring to a boil

13. Add the eggplant

14. Season with salt if needed

15. Bring to a boil until pumpkin is cooked (should not be too mushy)

16. And you're done!
